When God Gives You a Great Idea

When God Gives You a Great Idea

NARRATOR: Fernando Cano
was in his early 30s when his restaurant
venture failed. And he and his wife,
Catherine, declared bankruptcy. Looking back now, Fernando
says he knows what happened. I was always– I’ll do it
myself, I’ll do it myself. Never including God in it. Never. NARRATOR: The Canos
didn’t go to church, and held tightly to their money. We were raised poor. So every little penny,
to me, was in my pocket. Nobody else’s pocket. I wanted to keep that money. NARRATOR: Fernando started
working in corrections. The couple got serious about
God, went back to church, and soon began to tithe. It is the basis of
walking with the Lord. Whatever amount I was
tithing to the church, he blessed me with another
opportunity to make more money. NARRATOR: After years
of working the graveyard shift at the prison,
Fernando started to burn out, and was praying for a change. Lord, I know you’ve got
something better for me than this. I’ve had enough. And then I heard
someone tell me, you’re going to open
up a restaurant. And I turned around to see who
else was in the office with me, but it was just me. I said, no. I am not opening
up a restaurant. We did this already. Too hard. I ain’t gonna do it. So there I am. Couple months go by,
again, and now I’m feeling really– I’m starting
to feel burnt out, stressed out. And I said, God, you’ve
got to do something here. And just like he
did the first time, he came up to me,
whispered in my ear. I already told you. What are you waiting for? Exact words. NARRATOR: Soon,
the Canos went back into the restaurant business. God spoke to me
and told me we were going to call it Manna Cafe. I didn’t know what it meant,
so I went and looked it up, and– it’s all
about God providing the food for the Israelites
when they were in the desert. NARRATOR: The venture
may have seemed risky, but they say God
opened doors for them. It was like, hey,
how you doing? My name is Fernando. This is my wife Catherine. We like your space. OK, here is the contract. Just sign it. And they gave us a good deal. A dollar a square foot to start. Wow! God provided. It’s not even work
to me, because I love what I enjoy doing. To me it’s a lot of fun. NARRATOR: The couple credits
this favor to their commitment to tithing from their business. I have that faith
in God, that he’s going to take care
of us no matter what. As long as I do my little part,
he’s going to do the rest. Being a tither is what puts
the blessings in your life. The protection, the
covering, the answers. NARRATOR: In
addition to tithing, the Canos give food to the
homeless in their community. They also give to CBN. It’s about compassion. It’s about loving. Being that person that can
help change people’s lives. NARRATOR: Today, business
at Manna Cafe is thriving. The Canos are making four
times what they used to, and now they’re planning on
opening a second restaurant. Together, they challenge
others to trust God. Be a 700 Club member. It would be the best thing you
could ever do for your life, and for your finances. You want to see God work? Be a tither. Be a giver. Step out in faith.

  1. SORRY I DON'T BELIEVE IN THIS — I HAVE SEEN TOO MANY CHURCHES SPREADING LIES, USING THE POOR WHILE THEY USE THE MONEY DONATED TO LIVE IN LUXURY, BILLION DOLLAR HOMES, PLANES, LIMOS ETC .. NOT ACCEPTABLE, AND ALMOST ALL CHURCH LEADERS USE THE MONEY FOR PERSONAL LUXURY AND BRAINWASHING PEOPLE INTO GIVING. I GIVE TO THE POOR DIRECTLY AND I HELP A LOT MORE PEOPLE THAN CHURCHES DO, I AM SURE GOD IS PLEASED WITH THAT.

  2. Wow, this is the testimony I need right now in my life. I have some similarities in my life to their situation. Thank you, and Glory to God. In Jesus name, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  3. I can testify to being a CBN Partner… I have been extremely blessed because of it. Amen. Praise Jesus! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ”‘โœ๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’Ž

  4. I agree with tithing but I donโ€™t like this message. Itโ€™s like saying โ€œtithe and God will make you rich.โ€ Sounds like a false hope. You should be saying tithe and expect nothing in return.

  5. Wow, Manna Cafe?! God is so good. We have to listen to Him when He is trying to lead us in the right direction. If not, you're going to fail because it's not part of His plan.

  6. Yes I heard God whisper I thought someone else was in the room thanks for the encouragement glad you were able to do your calling

  7. If you have a relationship with Jesus Christ ,and he know you are in financial hardship, and he is bringing you out of that in trying to teach you a lesson.. God do not need our money!!!! the church needs to be honest, Ministries needs to be honest, about what the money is needed for, and stop using God to make it seem like God put a curse on people ….if they don't pay tithes.. if you're working a job and you're single parent. Because, I can only speak for being a single parent. I can't speak for nobody else.If You have babies to feed, and take care of…. and you're trying to live a honest life for God. I have seen God bless me and my child I'm not a member of a church anymore, and no I don't give a 10% to a church but I sow seeds in another way to be a blessing to people. And it's not financially, I sow my time and God is in the process of doing a work in me, so that I can be a blessing to the kingdom of God financially… along with, other things he have me doing.. so whether you tithe or you don't tithe and God sincerely know your heart. He'll still bless you and I am a witness to that. Peace!

  8. One thing I find to be a common behavior is tithing to what you want to make. I hear you Lord! This story is so inspirational. What seems foolish to the world is actually a Kingdom concept

  9. Wow this is really interesting God does give ideas that amazing he made you start over but second time round he had you build your restaurant on the rock

  11. Thank you so much for putting out this video. Thank you for inspiring us on the blessings of tithing and giving to God. I've been tremendously blessed and I've watched my finances grow amazingly just by putting Gods principles to work. I can't imagine my life without giving!

  12. One must understand..u can't bribe God…u must get near you God..read your Bible.. don't listen to some preacher..he is just stressed about bills…or he wants money for something .Get near to God and everything will get into place.God bless

  13. The EXACT same thing happened to me. However, I have been struggling for 20 months to raise the money for my God-given Project. But that does not deter me. Every day I advance 1 inch closer to raising the capital that I need to launch our Project. And, I am absolutely confident that we will make it. All in our Lord's name.
