  1. WE ARE ALL BORN INTO A CULT..THE SOONER WE REALISE THE BETTER..JESUS NEVER GAVE ME COMPASSION..I WAS BORN WITH IT…. TRUTH NEEDS TO BE THE NEW RELIGION!

  2. Whole lotta edgelord atheists down here, as if they forget they're not supposed to be in agreement with the nihilistic, pessimistic, depressed fatalist Rust but instead pity him because of the tragedies that brought him to that mindset.

  3. In this scene Rust shows religion as a man-made construction to demonstrate his descent from God and how evangelical pastors use religion for their own benefit by using mentally disabled people. Existential skepticism

  4. This show is really intense. I could not sleep all night- Very addictive. Great writers, great acting and especially to that great actor that played the scar face. He can pop in and out of accents like I drink water. A great actor!

  5. So many cringeworthy replies here. Rust does use 10 dollar words to say something most atheists already know. And while I agree with his views on that matter, Marty is right that without religion Earth would be a shitfest of murder and debauchery.

  6. Wonder if Matt and Woody gave each other their lines, seeing as how they hold opposite views of their characters. Probably not, but it would've interesting if it was true.

  7. Although many people won't agree with me, I think Marty is the one that's quite right here. I like the line: 'For a guy who sees no point in existence, you sure do fret about it an awful lot'. Don't we all fret about it? I mean, what is the point of existence if there's nothing to live for in the first place? The people in the revival tent maybe get portrayed here as the lower class of society (which in real life they don't have to be), but at least they have something to live for.
