Mindfulness minute: when you’re overwhelmed at work


Welcome to the Mindful Minute. I know being at work is a bit much right now,
but let’s quickly reconnect. Just follow my voice. You can keep your eyes on the screen or close
them. Relax your shoulders,
relax your arms, relax your hands,
and let your neck relax. I want you to identify one thing overwhelming
you right now. Bring all of your awareness to this one thing. Take a moment to invite this feeling into
your body. Not judging the feeling, just allowing it
to be felt. Now taking a big breath through your nose,
nice long exhale from the mouth. Inhale from the nose,
exhale from your mouth. Inhale through the nose,
relaxing everything as we exhale. Take a moment to relax and feel the effects
of these three breaths. Feeling clearer, more focused and ready to
tackle what’s ahead.
