5 Min Guided Evening Meditation l Meditation for Gut Health and Sleep

Hi there and welcome back to my channel, the
place to be when it comes to gut health and overall wellbeing. So before we dive into today’s video, make
sure to subscribe and hit the notification bell, just to make sure you stay updated whenever
I post a new video every Tuesday. So in today’s video I wanted to guide you
through a very grounding, calming, five minute evening meditation. So perfect to do right before bedtime. It’s also great to do, you know, once you
get home from your work day, from the office, just as a good way to, to slow down as well. So, and meditation is really amazing. It’s such a beautiful practice, not only to
find calmness and a sense of peace of mind, but it is also and can be very beneficial
for your gut health as your gut also really loves a calm state of mind. So a lot of amazing benefits. So let’s get started. So I suggest that you find a space where you
won’t be distracted for the next 5 to 10 minutes. And in terms of where to sit. So you can either sit on the floor, on a pillow,
like I’m doing here or you can sit on a chair, or you can sit on your bed, whatever feels
most comfortable for you. And you can place your hands on your lap or
you can place them on your thighs with your palms facing up. And so from here, so start by gently closing
your eyes and we’re going to take three deep breaths here together. So inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth final one. Inhale.
and exhale. so from here I want you to feel you’re sitting
bones really grounding, connecting with the floor
and bringing your attention to your spine. and imagine a system of roots connecting you
with the earth and at the base of your spine, imagine the
color red so a circle of red at the bottom of your spine. and imagine the feeling and sensation of warmth
that it creates. and here your mind might start to wander off,
and that’s perfectly fine. Any thoughts that come simply let them come
and pass through without any judgment. simply bring your attention back to your breath. and anything that happened today, simply let
that go. just leave that outside of this room. simply be here in this moment. with yourself, with your breath. and shifting over to a state of gratitude. What are you grateful for? it can be anything big or small like your
health and wellbeing. or perhaps your coffee or a cup of tea that
you’re having in the morning. Whatever it is that you are grateful for,
make a list of that now quietly within yourself. and tap into a feeling of appreciation for
those things that you are grateful for. Good. Bringing your attention back to your breath. let’s take one deep breath here together. Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through
the mouth Good. And gently open up your eyes. Very good. I hope that this very short and sweet evening
meditation helped you to feel a bit more grounded and relaxed, and if you haven’t already, I

  4. The gut health is so important. It was an osteopath that first told me the importance of breathing exercises to relax the back muscles and the many benefits that aid gut health. Great video.
